UPDATE: 23 May - trying to get Tina into Prodia Hospital
Our post for support went out 2 nights ago on the Bali Expat Forum, 21 May at 22:32
Sadly Tina's condition is terminal but she is now happy and free of pain so long as we keep our medical supply lines open with Endri. Helping Tina is very difficult, she lives on a very remote island and most of the village people don't talk or understand Indonesian (or English) I will write more soon. :)
The 1st Post: I am sorry to have to share with you Tina's horrific condition: Tina we discovered a day or two ago in a very poor & remote fishing island village named Mirinki, things are getting desperate for her. The pain now is to unbearable for her, and her family are distraught. A growth is pushing Tina's eye out of it's socket & the pain and growth in her eyes is too much to bear and she has been banging her head on the wall and doing doing all sorts of sad things to commit suicide. (see the scares from cuts on her face) We have got some food a few gifts and some supply assistance reaching her now and will sone hopefully get her to a charity organisation in Bali who can help.

- I am waiting for my bank account - I have a charity getting done right now so I am allowed to do this sort of work (and not get kicked out) There is a bit more to this story Tina's not the only one - and we are setting up a 'The Forgotten Children of Lombok' project - but Tina's Pain & Urgency has thrown me - and will have to a Doc to indicate what to get. (doctors over here - she is on a island also & terrorised of public.
Another Desperate person is Sasha - she has never seen a doctor

Manfred Richrath Peter Honey.
I read the mail from this NZ doctor you published.
He offers the operation for free and will take care for the immigration.
He also said that the operation is complex and will take around 1 month treatment.
Simply let's do it.
I pay for the airfair Virgin Airline Lombok-Bali-Auckland return.
for the girl and 1 person to take care for her.
I pay the ticket directly, no cash to someone.
I guess it's around 2'000 USD for 2 person.
You organize her stay and the cost for it by donation.
If not enough I will pay the difference.
At least let's do it, 1 year begging is enough.

THIS EMAIL BACK FROM DOCTOR MARK IZZARD RESTORED MY FAITH IN A WAY I CAN"T DESCRIBE!
hi pete - id be happy to help, the surgery is quite complex so it would be better to do it here in NZ. i have my own operating theatres and i can do the op for free, she would probably need 2 or 3 procedures or so over a period of a month. im happy to write letters to immigration , i look after lots of non nz residents let me know what i can do - cheers mark

Pierre Roget Furthermore, if airline fares are required try and make contact with the public relations officer of any of the airlines if it is Virgin or Jetstar for example because they may do it for reduced price being goodwill and this would gain them some very positive exposure. Nothing ventured nothing gained and always worth a try. *Just for clarification I believe Dr Izzard is a head and neck surgeon and also a cosmetic surgeon in NZ that deals with facial growths. From what I understood he removed the growth from Ani's face as above. I could be wrong, but I believe Tina's surgery maybe more involved and a Dr is not sourced for that as yet.
*In his two years of sub-specialist training Mark developed skills for reconstructing all aspects of the head and neck and cosmetic facial surgery including cancer surgery and microsurgical reconstruction.
Mark’s special interests lie in facial cosmetic surgery, in particular, Rhinoplasty, Blepharoplasty, Jaw reconstruction and rebuilding of massive facial defects after surgery or trauma. Mark introduced 3d Printed Implantation, Biomodelling to the Auckland Head and Neck unit and developed a program for control of Osteradionecrosis.

Ed Scheepmaker Hi All. The below **is a comment from my friend Gary McCormick about possible best place for this poor girl to get surgery.
We have many people here in Perth who would be able to help however I see there is also a great offer for surgery in New Zealand. Just to let you know if you need some help in Perth for surgery at Charles Gardner Hospital-please pm me and we will rally support this end for accommodation for family etc.
what Gary wrote:
**My eldest son had a brain tumour a few years back, a condition caused by Cranial Radiation Therapy for Leukaemia as a baby. We know that these things can be treated and removed as Father Brian brought many children to Charlie Gardener after the Chinobal Disaster in the USSR. Charlie Gardener is the best at this in the world. How can we help? Donations of money....what is the short term prognosis ?**

If you are not a doctor who is skilled and trained in this area then suggesting to use MMS (Miracle Mineral Solution) as a cure is somewhat naïve. We are awaiting proper diagnosis once Tina has been brought to Bali.
